DES PERES TRAVEL is a full service travel agency, located in Des Peres, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. The owner , Claus Claussen, grew up in Germany and has been living for twenty years in French West Africa and Nice, France, for 5 years in SE Asia and 4 years in Brazil. In 1986 he started Des Peres Travel in St. Louis. His active involvement in Bicycle racing included racing in numerous local and national races, 7 Nationals, 2 Masters Worlds and by organizing approximately 20 bicycle USCF sanctioned races in St. Louis , as well as the 1993 Masters Nationals and the 1994 Olympic Festival (Bicycle RR only). Further, since 13 years he organizes training camps for the St. Louis Cycling Club as well as the Davis Bike Club(CA) , recently in Corsica, Nice and Mallorca. Further, he takes care of all travel arrangements for the American Team participating in the Paris-Brest- Paris long distance bike race in France, taking place every four years. For this reason, he started GLOBAL SPORTS MANAGEMENT & TOURS, this Company handles only the TRIATHLON TEAM USA and bicycle training camps. The understanding of sports events and the personal knowledge of many countries and its languages makes him a well qualifying coordinator for these events.
