Bike Transport on Air France

Bicycles are treated as baggage items. Their transport is therefore included in your baggage allowance. Beyond this allowance (up to a maximum of 23 kg/50 lb per item, with total dimension of 158 cm/62 in), a fixed-rate fee is applied. If the weight of a baggage item is more than 23 kg/50 lb but less than 32 kg/70 lb and/or exceed the allowed dimension, you must pay an additional $100 when departing from the United States and Euro 100 when departing from Europe.

Tandems are allowed – overweight charges apply.

Please remember to:

• Remove the pedals

• Remove the front wheel and attach it to the frame

• Turn the handlebars to the side (parallel to the frame)

• Tires either inflated or deflated

• Place your bicycle in a protective container (cardboard, hard plastic)

Bicycle containers are available for purchase at most Air France check-in desks.
