The American Team In Paris

Des Peres Travel has been taking care of the travel needs of the “American Team” since 1987. Starting with 10 riders from St. Louis in 1987, this number has since then grown to about 700 travelers (riders, family members and support) in 2007.

For PBP 2011, we have reserved a large number of hotel rooms in St. Quentin en Yvelines – all within two miles from the Start/Finish. Most of the hotel rooms are small and have single and double occupancy only, with some exceptions. European hotel rooms are smaller compared to the American hotel rooms. All hotels will provide separate and secure storage for bikes and cases. IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO TAKE BIKES INSIDE YOUR HOTEL ROOMS.

We have also rooms on the course in Loudeac, Fougeres, Villaines-la-Juhel, Mortagne-au-Perche and Carhaix. Other locations are available on request. Due to the limited number of rooms in these small cities, I can reserve the rooms in Loudeac and Fougeres ONLY in conjunction with a package of air and hotel in St. Quentin.

Except for the airfare, the cost of the package is based on the Euro. The Euro rate has been increasing against the U.S. Dollar since 2002. The fluctuations of the exchange rate between the Euro and Dollar are unpredictable and force us to apply a currency adjustment on hotels, transfers, celebration dinner, bag drop and sightseeing tour, which will be calculated at final payment. The rates on our website are based on 1 Euro = $1.37. There will be changes in the exchange rate until June 2011 in either direction – if necessary, you will receive a credit or a debit.

My airfares are very competitive and confirmed, except for the Government Taxes and Fuel Surcharge which are subject to change without notice.

Since the package including airline ticket is non-refundable, we recommend that you look at the option of Travel Protection Insurance. You can click our link to Travelex Insurance for information and quotes.

We are a full-service travel agency and can arrange tours, hotel rooms, car rentals, transportation, etc. in Europe. Just let us know.

The online registration is on a secured website. Confirmation and invoice of your reservation will be sent by email. You can also call or send us an email if you have any questions.

LIABILITY WAIVER:
By paying the deposit/full payment, you herewith agree to travel at your own risk and peril, including all activities, biking and otherwise, during the trip and release Des Peres Travel, its employees, officers and agents, of any claims and all responsibilities arising in case of injuries to person or property, accidents, deaths, loss of property, airline cancellations, missed connections, and/or unforeseen events and acts of God. Des Peres Travel reserves the right to make any changes to this trip/package if the need arises.
